Trojaborg next to Galgberget in Visby is a well-preserved stone labyrinth and one of about 40 mazes on Gotland. On the Gotland Museum's webpage there is a story about how the maze came about: A young girl, a royal daughter, was held prisoner in the "robber hole", a cave in Galgberget. She built the maze by laying a stone a day. When it was finally done, her prison guards became so impressed that they released her.
